Wk 1 Tech Tip - Walking Through EBlogger

When I first heard the term blogging, I found it intimidating. However, having worked throughout the Full Sail program I have found it to be a very useful tool. The tutorial shows the simplicity of creating a simple blog in easy to understand steps. I am quite sure that my students would be able to venture into the world of blogging with little difficulty.

  1. Beckie Lamborn Comment Post To Steve Mohler on Blogging-I've also looked at Blogging in a new light and from a new perspective, as a Full Sail student. Originally I steered away from Blogging, because it seemed intimidating and something only a tech person might be able to set up. But after creating and using the tool in our class, it has proved to be very user friendly. The additional challenge that I see in having a successful Blog would be the need to have an audience to interact and respond. In a classroom setting classmates make a perfect audience, so using Blogs would be helpful in developing reading, writing, and other communication skills.

  2. I have explored various ways to bring web 2.0 tools in to my classroom. I am a technology instructor who wants to bring blogging to the students. Right now the teachers want the students to key or write a small input in a journal by students. This is to help their writing skills. This to me sounds like an antiquated form of blogging. The problem I have is that the IT department will not allow the computers to be opened up for social networking. If I ever get across that line I will be very happy.
